Hello,
I've been using Shopify for over 6 years for my online shop.
I rely on the "Committed" property in my daily fulfillment because Shopify doesn't show me anywhere which products I actually sold in any period of time, so to check which products I need to prepare (some of my products need manual preparing ahead of time), I will often click on my product and check the "Committed" number.
Up until this point, even products with variants, would show me the committed amount of products directly on the main product editing page.
At some point in the last few days, this vanished, and I now have to click into every single product variant to find out how many are committed to be shipped out. This is tedious and a downgrade of a feature, and I don't understand it at all.
Is there something I'm missing here - is there some new page where I can see exactly how many of which product needs fulfilling at any given time? I'm confused!
I just found the same thing when going to update the on hand qty of a product.
The product page now only shows 'available' stock where as it used to show Available, On hand, Committed, Unavailable.
This has only changed on 1 of 3 stores though with that one being on the Advanced plan and the other 2 on the Shopify plan.
I'm really getting tired of these pointless shitty UX/UI changes on the dashboard that never add any benefit but instead make everything harder and require more clicks.
Oh wow, thanks for the insight. So this only affected the Basic Shopify plans and not other plans. In which case, it might have been a calculated decision by Shopify in the sense of "how can we remove even more basic features from this plan and only make them available for people who pay more?" which actually makes me so angry if that's the case.
So far I'm only seeing this change on my Advanced store, the other 2 on the Shopify Plan have not been affected yet.
So it could be a rollout by Tier or it could just be random if your seeing it on the Basic plan already.
