Hi everyone,
We just recently launched subscriptions with Skio and we noticed that when an order has a mix of subscription and non-subscription products that the order ends up getting duplicated to our 3PL and would get sent twice even though we only received payment for the one order. I chatted with Shopify support about this and this is what they said:
“Hi Sean, thank you for patiently waiting, upon checking here this is an expected behavior when an order has a mix subscription and non subscription the fulfillment process will be different, Nothing to worry I will be submitting a feature request to our developers to have this reviewed and see if this can be available in the future and if there is already a request submitted, they will know there is further interest in getting this feature added.”
I am assuming this is happening because subscriptions have a separate shipping profile from the non-subscription products as we always want those to ship for free. Everything is shipping from a single 3PL.
Anyone else ran into this before? If so what was the fix for it? I'm also not opposed to an app but I want to minimize the amount of app installs and uninstalls to get to the final solution.
