Inventory sync with Quickbooks online

Hello! We have a Shopify store that sells to consumers and wholesale. We recently upgraded to Shopify plus migrating our wholesale orders and all inventory management from another application to have everything in one place. We manage our accounting and financial control in Quickbooks online. We are having some trouble to have everything well synced between Shopify and QBO through the default connector Intuit offers. We are able to sync sales orders well, invoices, and payments but for inventory control the connector takes QBO as the main info provider and the point of truth, any data that is on QBO will overwrite the data in Shopify. we need the other way around, to have the inventory point of truth starting from Shopify and push the movement updates (Q and value) to QBO. Does anyone already have that kind of sync established? can you recommend apps (not extra expensive) that can sync the inventory that way?

It's actually astonishing the QBO is made to overwrite data (more specifically inventory in Shopify). Who would program it this way??

On our first attempt to use Quickbooks online simply to bring sales data over, it brought all our inventory over, then marked it as zero, since it did not recognize it and THEN proceeded to re-write all our inventory levels in SHOPIFY AS ZERO. Major disaster.

Sadly we had to backtrack our decision and keep Shopify only as website store. inventory, finance and everything else is now managed by a third OIMS with B2B capabilities. It was really surprising for us to learn that Shopify plus was not that great after all and that the integrations are in a lot of cases really limited or extremely expensive.

Can you tell me, did you end up sticking with the Shopify "Plus"?

Also, can you tell me what 3rd party App you use to sync QBO to Shopify? The OneSaas we used which I assume you referred to in your initial comment is the one that has capabilities to, shall I say, "inadvertently" overwrite all your inventory products and quantites without even your authorization! Shopify sites be warned.
