We're a small shop with limited stock, and we've never allowed any of our products to sell beyond the stock we actually have on hand. Recently, though, I've noticed checkouts/orders for products after stock is exhausted. I'm not sure how this is happening.
We do sell through several channels, but this one was done via the 'Online Shop' which I understand is the front-end, themed site through Shopify.
I'm now showing a value of –4 for both available and on hand stock of this item, and –1 of its variant.
Could variants be the cause of this issue? I've looked through them all & they aren't permitted to continue selling after stock runs out. I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone run into this? Any assistance/advice appreciated.
*Edit* I'll attach some images of what I mean. Thanks again.
Hi Genamel,
I am facing a similar situation. In my shop, whenever there is a sale and customers are trying to buy the same product at the same time, the order gets processed even the stock is over. Then I need to refund my customers stating that the order couldn't be fulfilled as the stock is over causing embarrassment. Even I want answer for this issue. I hope someone readdress the situation.
