Covers all questions related to inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
We are experiencing an issue with the tracking code that is pushed from our fulfillment center through the API to our Shopify system. We have two shipping options: Standard (DHL) and Fast (UPS). But the tracking link that is being sent with the tracking code is not being recognized if it is using the FAst (UPS) shipping:
example if it not working (fast shipping UPS): https://webtrack.dhlglobalmail.com/orders?trackingNumber=9274890217524111237267
example if it working ( standard shipping) DHL) https://webtrack.dhlglobalmail.com/orders/33812301053734500/details/9274890210310635773629
It seems that Shopify does not recognize the UPS tracking code and sends the UPS tracking code with a DHL URL link.
How could we resolve this issue?
Hey @MauriceWirtz - This is definitely odd. One cause I've seen for similar issues like this is if the tracking_company field within a Fulfillment API call is left blank, or not included within the API call, an incorrect tracking URL might be generated. If possible, would you be able to share an X-Request-ID from a response header for one of the API calls that results in the incorrect link being sent out?
That way, I can track the call itself in our logs and see what may be causing this. Hope to hear from you soon!
