I have tea store, i want to  manage inventory of the ingredients i use to blend tea. e.g. if making chai and need ginger, cinnamon, cardamoms . I want to be able to set them up on the website and manage their counts whenever i use eacj of them to make a blend. i am currently using excel and its so tedious. Can shopify do this for me? this will not be visible to the customer . if someone knows how to set it on shopify please let me know.

I have a related question, which is how to manage pick-and-pack costs... (e.g., some orders will need a clamshell, others will need a bigger box and more trimming).

Hey, check into the following app. I did and it seems like there are options to keep track of your "ingredients" or "components" on the backend without showing the customer. So your tea would be considered a "bundle" but you wouldn't have to present it like that on your website... it would all be on the backend. He was super helpful in answering my questions. Managing your inventory for ingredients like ginger, cinnamon, and cardamoms used in making chai or blending tea can be effortlessly handled with the Easify Inventory Sync app. Here's a quick guide on setting it up 🤗:

  1. Create an Ingredient Product:

    • Start by creating a product where each variant represents one of your ingredients (e.g., ginger, cinnamon, cardamoms). Specify the quantity for each variant based on your actual inventory. This product should be set to Draft mode, existing only in Shopify admin for inventory tracking.
  2. Set Up a Bundle Group in the App:

    • In the app, create a bundle group that includes the product you’re selling and the ingredient variants you just created.
    • Set your main product (the one customers order) as the Master product, and the ingredients as Component products. Specify the Quantity per bundle for each component product to reflect how much of each ingredient is used in a single blend.

Hey! I am a brand in a similar space. I saw your doubt before finding the right app. Check out Prediko (have no affiliation). Simple to use and does the job. Support is also good.
