We are trying to push througt API request with setting the product_type for specified category which is in Google Standard.
After request for example following category throught
product_type = "Cameras & Optics > Camera & Optic Accessories > Tripod & Monopod Accessories > Tripod Handles"
or "Tripod Handles"
Of course, we also tested for different type options and their values.
Shopify is creating for this Custom Product Type which is wrong.
Shopify should assign existing category to Standard Product Type.
If we do the same throguht Backend manually we assign Standard Product Type without problems.
We think this is a REAL BUG because a custom product type is created ALWAYS even if the value entered in the product_type attribute exists in the standard product_types.
