Can I customize merchant admin order list page and how?

Our client has a requirement as below:
On the Shopify admin ( merchant account) order list page:

add a column for example called shipping 

will show order's shipping number and link

click that shipping number will popup shipping tracking information

Is there any related API or solution?

Does anybody have any solution for the above, or it is impossible? thanks in advance.
