I'm sure it's not just me saddled with this burden, but I've been working a lot with our store data for the last few years, and I need to join it to some other data that we have from our payment gateways.
One thing that I've not been able to solve is that when I download TenderTransactions from our store, the transaction IDs are different to what's in our payment gateways, otherwise known as payment service providers (PSP). I've realised for the last year or so that the Shopify transaction IDs that some PSPs deal in is with the OrderTransaction ID, which can be very confusing initially, but it makes sense.
What would be amazing is if TenderTransactions, in addition to the existing order_id, could have a transaction_id as well.
