Incorrect totalSales reported via the Discount Codes API

The last few days (26 Dec 22, 27 Dec 22) we have encountered an issue where in all GraphQL requests for discount codes, the reported totalSales value was equal to null.

Today morning (28 Dec 22, 10:30 CET) I can see that all the requests for discount codes report correct values (consistent with Shopify UI).

I would like to confirm whether that was a temporary issue in the API which should not happen again or is this something that we can expect to happen also in the future - if this is the case, I'd like to understand what does this relate to as we'd love to be prepared for such events.
