The SparkPlug platform brings retailers and brands together to increase sales and provide direct incentives to retail staff members. To do this, we aggregate transaction and employee data from POS systems like Shopify. Unfortunately, Shopify doesn't expose its Users API to shops below the Plus tier. Most of our retailers are too small to leverage Shopify Plus.
@epelc made this request previously in a thread from 2021, but I thought I'd raise it again. epelc's follow-up about online oauth mode is interesting, but doesn't reveal Transaction.User, which is the datapoint that our platform needs in order to glue everything together.
Has this been discussed anywhere else that I can review? I wonder, is this something Shopify is considering?
