Just a general COMPLAINT to Shopify workers on the API systems.
It seems one cannot work on themes with GraphQL, but instead, one has to use RestAPI endpoints. It has been this way since its inception. Now that we have Themes V1 and V2, and making themes function with Apps, could Shopify please get on moving into 2021/2022 with more effort on Themes and GraphQL?
It is a minor hassle to have to use both, and while there exist plenty of other disparities to dwell on, I figured I'd point this obvious one out as I am currently experiencing the pain from this.
Please try and make GraphQL better for partners, provide support for themes.
