Can I build an app with listings from chosen merchants?

Hello, if I want to build a dog shopping app with just listings from chosen merchants, is this possible?

I would want to be able to search across all the merchants that I've chosen and they would only be dog related items. 

Is this possible and are there any examples of apps or websites that are doing this?

(and is it possible to add affiliate programs to this to be paid when someone buys?)
