Creating and publish product without Plus

Am I able to create and publish products (to headless channel) with the Admin API without a Shopify Plus plan? Earlier in the docs write_publications and PublishPublishable was marked with “requires Plus”, but they’re anymore. So it is possible now?

Also, is there anything else stopping me from doing this without Plus?
