Hey @laljan,
To connect to Shopify APIs, you will need to create an application either through a partner account, or via the admin via a custom app. An app will allow you to use credentials to authenticate and authorize an application, which in turn can provide access to query or mutate data through the APIs. There are many resources available in our help docs and developer documentation to assist with learning more about Shopify features, building apps, and using the various APIs currently available - like the excellent development focused getting started guide and overview on building apps here.
We aren't able to provide step-by-step assistance with building unique features, but I would recommend reviewing our extensive documentation, and looking here in the developer community forums for other posts related to features you are looking to achieve. Another considerations would be that making customizations to the order status page is often something that can achieved without and app or the API - more info here.
Lastly, if you are looking for direct assistance with the development of an app or functionality, you may want to consider working with developers who build in these types of integrations, or consider looking into existing apps.
Cheers,
