recommendations.products is empty

The related products used to show up. Suddenly today I am seeing the recommended products are not being shown. Where might it have gone wrong? 

No related questing was helpful. All products are part of a collection.

Ps: The website is not from any theme and was developed from scratch

I’m having the same issues, I'm developing a Store for a client and building a recommended products area in the Cart Drawer on my site with Javascript. I was fetching the recommended products fine until the other day now they are not fetching and are all blank.  See example of url below for the product_id: 7404559237307

There are no products available. If someone can help me find out why this api is not working that would be awesome!
