Selling a theme - hydrogen or liquid?

I want to build themes for the theme store. I read through the documentation but still a little unclear about how to proceed. I'm a React developer so I'd prefer to use hydrogen but most of the documentation that talks about selling a theme in the theme store talks about liquid. Am i able to sell me theme using hydrogen, or does it have to use liquid?

Hydrogen is new one so I suggest you go with Hydrogen.

Hydrogen has a main client-side library node, react, etc...

No liquid in Hydrogen.
