Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hello everyone,
I use Shopify Market and have two markets: US and Canada. When I create a discount code for a fixed amount off (e.g., $10 off $50), it works fine in Canada because my default currency is Canadian dollars. However, for the US market, it converts to approximately $7, which is misleading for US customers since I am advertising $10 off.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thank you in advance.
@BlueOceangrowth Hi , o fix this issue, you can create separate discount codes for each market. Set the discount amount in the respective currencies to match the advertised value in each region. For the US market, create a $10 discount code and for Canada, keep the $10 CAD code. This way, customers will receive the correct discount amount based on their local currency.
Hi @BlueOceangrowth, I hope you’ve found a solution!
If not, I install Pixoo Multi-Currency Discounts for my clients, and it’s been perfect for the issue you mentioned. It’s so easy to use!
It handles market-specific discounts in multiple currencies!! 🎯
