Any word on when Shopify Markets is coming out yet?

We applied to be in the early access but we just launched this week so I'm sure we won't hear back but wondering if anyone knows when Shopify Markets will be available to all merchants? I'm trying to avoid using a not-needed third-party app for the same functionality that Shopify Markets will have, if it's coming out soon. I saw it was announced in Sept 2021. Thanks!

Hey, @supafly! Our beta did begin in September, the first wave of merchants who signed up for early access would have been chosen from a waitlist. If you've already signup up for the waitlist on the Markets page here, that's all you need to do until you hear from our team via email! 

We have no specific date set yet for when this feature will be available to all merchants I'm afraid, this will be rolled out in waves so we can be sure it's in perfect working order for everyone to use. The best thing to do for now is to keep an eye on our Changelog. We will post any new updates or developments there!

What kind of apps are you thinking of using? I'd love to know more about your plans to see if I can help you out!

Hi @Ava - one of the key features we wanted was being able to collect duty and taxes from the international shopper upfront so they wouldn't have to deal with that later. We've been told we can do this via Zonos and/or Shipstation? I haven't had a chance to dig into that but I'd rather not add another app we don't need if the Shopify Markets feature is coming soon enough that we could access this ability soon.

I can understand the need for Shopify Markets for this! If the apps will work for you for the time being, they may be worth looking in to. The beta for Shopify Markets is on a short break for the moment, but we hope to begin rollouts again very early in 2022. I'm not sure if that would work for your own timeframe, but I do hope it helps you make a decision! 

Are duties and taxes for international customers something you would deal with regularly?
