We have been trying to get an answer from UPS as to how the brokerage fees are calculated - no one at UPS seems to know. We recently shipped to Canada from USA and were charged Entry Prep Fee, Entry Packet Fee and Disbursement Fee. Is there a formula for these % of Shipment Value - Flat Fee from others? We want to be able to add this to cost paid by customer on our website.
I'm looking for this too. I recent shipment to Canada charged 60% of the value in duties via UPS. There was no warning of this ahead of time. Shipping was already like $26
Same exact experience. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong bc I find it hard to believe that other companies are paying $40 in shipping, tax, and duties to ship a $60 package to Canada.
Did you ever figure this out?
As a bandaid I added 20% handling to our international shipping price until I figure this out.
