Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hello,
I was wondering if sellers from Iran can open a Shopify store?
If not, I have a follow-up question.
I am a non-Iranian citizen (i.e. I can open a Shopify store in my country) and one of my friends is from Iran and lives in Iran. He has a clothing business in Iran and makes branded clothes. He would like to open a Shopify store for his business. Since I assumed he would not be able to do so as an Iranian seller, I would like to see if I can help him. So do you think the following scenario is feasible and legal?
I open a Shopify store under my name, I manage and pay/get paid on this Shopify store, but the clothing products are for my friend and will be shipped to the customers from Iran. This is like my friend and I share this Shopify business somehow! Do you think this sounds legal and alright?
I am looking forward to your response! Thank you! 🙂
