Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
I want to set up Shopify markets for my store. Are you able to adjust your pricing for markets with the app? E.g I’m based in the UK so shipping cost can be quiet high …looking for a way to factor that into international markets pricing . Is that possible ?
If you are using Shopify Payments and are on Advanced plan or above, you can set market specific pricing. Read more here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/markets/pricing/international-prices
Hi @Genappi,
As mentioned by @rohitmishra, merchants on our Advanced and Plus plans can take advantage of our international pricing feature to set different prices for the various regions and countries they sell to. On lower plans, merchants can still set different shipping costs for the places they sell to, meaning you could charge higher shipping fees to customers outside of the UK in comparison to domestic orders.
Can you tell me a bit more about your business, and where you plan to sell to?

Hi @Genappi,
Great, thank you. It is not possible to set different prices for customers in different countries without the international pricing feature, which isn't available on the Basic plan. Can you tell me more about where else you are looking to sell to outside of the UK?
The alternative option you have would be to have two or more separate stores for the different regions you sell to; for example, a UK store and another for the EU or US. This would allow you to set different prices for the respective markets. However, if you are just starting out I would generally recommend focusing on your domestic market for the time being and then looking to expand in future once you have established your business in the UK.
If you are already at this point with your UK business, then having multiple stores or upgrading to the Advanced plan might be worth considering. Please bear in mind that with Shopify Markets on the Basic plan you can still accept payments in multiple currencies using Shopify Payments, translate your store into different languages, and add international domains to your store.
I'd also recommend checking out our blog post on selling internationally for more guidance on how to manage this side of your business.
