Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi All,
I am currently using the Google Sales channel to list my products into google Merchant and thus take advantage of the free shopping lists. This works perfectly well for a single country and all products. (UK)
I would like to know if would be possible for me to use the same channel but only list selected products in US?
I would expect there would be a feed tag or attribute we could use?
I would like to think it would be possible to list selected products to selected target countries.
Thanks in advance
Hi there,
I think the way that would achieve what you need would be a primary feed (your UK feed), then you would need to add a regional supplemental feed (for US).
This is in the Google Merchant Centre help section here
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7448571?sjid=4245704544526893845-EU
In the supplemental feed you would be able to override the availability and price/ sale_price fields with what you need for the US territory
Also you can control availability in regions by including multiple shipping fields, but as you are probably needing to submit prices in GBP and USD - the primary plus supplemental is probably the way to go for you.
Best regards
Martin
You can't do this with Google Sales Channel App.
Technically you can add the countries in Google Merchant Center > Products > Feeds > click on your feed > add the countries.
Then also add the shipping details in the same currency as your primary feed in the top right corner > gear icon > shipping and returns.
However this is not the best option and most likely you will not get much traffic.
The correct way is to submit a dedicated feed to Google merchant center for each country, using the native language and currency. Unfortunately Google Channel app can't do this.
So you need to use: https://apps.shopify.com/multiple-google-shopping-feeds
Hey, how to add countries in Content API? is that called "feed label"?
I have added that, but the product shows 0.
Click on your feed > content API > add your country
Make sure to also add your shipping prices in the same currency as the feed.
However this method is not recommended as indicated previously. You will not get much or any traffic doing it that way.
😂awee.. so you mean the correct way is to add a new primary feed for each country, but now only add a country through the Content API, right?
Correct
thanks, I will try
