Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi,
I recently added Lithuanian language to my store and translated it using "Translate & Adapt" app:
My target audience will be only Lithuanian, so I want to change my default language into Lithuanian and delete English, but trying to do so, results to getting this message:
I already tried once to click save, but then I lose my all translations on Lithuanian language and I need mannually translate all the content again through "Translate & Adapt" app.
Maybe there are any ideas how I can change default language to Lithuanian without losing all the translated content?
Hello @Veikėjas ,
did you find some solution for this? I have simillar problem, I tried use export/import in language settings, but it doeasnt work.
Maybe the only way is use API ...
Ok, my solution was not to change the default language in Settings -> language, but to change the language of primary market in Settings -> Markets -> Primary market
@Veikėjas The approach @TomasPesek is what you should be doing if you want to change the language your buyers land on by default. More context on what the store default language is here
You should have received a CSV of your manually translated Lithuanian to reupload; we send this whenever a language is deleted (for this reason).
