Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi all!
The store is in Danish krone (kr.) but when I change the currency drop-down menu and choose Euro (€), the value is not correct. It appears less amount than it should be. I checked the help center and I cannot find any solution. I also checked the third-party provider and it seems ok as well.
Could anyone help me? Thanks beforehand!
Hello @vics32 ,
Here is a few suggestions you can try to check it out to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the currency conversion rate: Verify that the currency conversion rate for Danish Krone (kr.) to Euro (€) is correctly set in your Shopify store. Ensure that the conversion rate is up-to-date and accurately reflects the market rate. You can check the conversion rate with a trusted financial source or currency exchange service.
2. Configure currency settings in Shopify: In your Shopify admin panel, go to "Settings" > "General" > "Standards and formats" > "Currency." Ensure that the currency settings are correctly configured for Danish Krone (kr.) and Euro (€). Make sure the currency code, currency symbol, and formatting options are set accurately.
3. Verify currency conversion code in your theme: In the Shopify theme code, there might be custom code or snippets responsible for handling currency conversions. Check the theme files, especially the ones related to currency conversion or formatting. Look for any code that calculates or modifies the currency values. Ensure that the code is correctly implemented and reflects the accurate conversion rate.
4. Test currency conversion on different browsers: Sometimes, browser extensions or caching issues can interfere with currency conversion. Test the currency conversion on different browsers and devices to ensure the problem is not browser-specific. Clear the cache and try using an incognito or private browsing window to test the currency conversion.
Hope this can help. Let us know if you find anything.
