Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi everyone,
we have recently started using Pinterest and it's going really well. Our pins are in English and our website is currently in English and German (we are based in Germany). How can I make sure that our customers are being redirected from Pinterest to the correct Shopify website (German clients to the German side and international clients to the English one)?
Thank you so much.
Soph
There are multiple processes by which you can address your issue. You can install Geolocation Redirect to send users to the correct Shopify website based on their language. If it does not work, you can create Pinterest boards for different languages and link them to respective sites like linking English pins to English sites. If your store has language switcher, users can easily switch from one langue to another.
Hi Sophie,
So a couple of questions here:
1. Do you want customers to be redirected to a translated version of the website? eg - https://example.com/en or https://example.com/de
2. Or do you want them to be redirected to a specific region domain? eg - https://example.de
Both of these have different processes. So let me know which option you are aiming for and I will guide you accordingly. The option you choose also depends on your current set up, perhaps you already have Shopify markets set up in place but I will have to know about your set up.
