Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
I have a US based store that ships to Canada. However we need to put a tax-disclaimer for orders only from Canada that comes up in checkout. Pop up window or something near the final purchase steps that informs the client that they will have to pay import tax upon receiving the product.
Can anyone recommend a solution that worked well for them?
Thank you.
We'd recommend instead calculating and collecting these fees at checkout, so your customers transparently know they aren't going to be charged anything extra on delivery: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/markets/duties-and-import-taxes
