Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
I am using the Shopify Translate and Adapt app to change European kids clothing sizes to U.S. sizes for my U.S. market in English (i.e., 74 european is 1Y U.S.). All of my products have been updated with U.S. sizes and show great on product pages. Unfortunately, the filter bar to the left still shows European sizes, which is not helpful in helping my U.S. customers filter for their needs. Any idea how to show the translated sizes in filter?
Reporting on the solution I found to work, after days of trial and error and research. Hopefully this helps someone with a similar problem. I created metafields at the variant level. I called that U.S. Sizes, and I added a filter based on Variant Metafield "U.S. Sizes". I now have two filters - a European Sizes and a U.S. Sizes. Not ideal, but not terrible either, and now U.S. customers have a way to filter for sizes they understand.
hi @LauraG1 that's a great solution, and I'd say the best solution in the circumstance
