Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hello All ,
I can not figure out how to localize/translate Customer Login form. I've tried the Shopify Translate App, but the string table is empty. i tried export from settings\languages , but the csv file do not include any "login" English strings.
Regards
waw
@wawmegastore you need to translate manually by using json file for changing a text into desire languages.
@Ujjaval when i create a new locale file based on en.default.json for say, should i clear the unwanted strings and translate only the desired ones , or should i leave them as default English strings ?
@wawmegastore there are files available for different languages so find particular file for that language and create json for that.
@UjjavalYes i understand . If i to translate partially , should I include only the translated values and clear the other untranslated values, or should i keep the untranslated English strings in place ?
any way , I want to thank you for your helpful answer, and i accepted the solution.
Best regards
waw
Hi @wawmegastore , you would not need to edit the default json here. Translations for default theme content can be found in the Translate & Adapt app under 'Default theme content'. Search in your default language for the content you're looking for and you should be able to translate there.
To learn more visit the Shopify Help Center or the Community Blog.
Hi @richbrown_staff , I appreciate your reply. I had finished translating all the en.default.json , and exterminated the problems altogether 🙂
Thank you for your concern.
