Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi, I'd like to delete United States market and just make Costa Rica as primary (and unique).
When I try to change the primary market, I see a message alert saying that I can only set as primary those markets whose shipping and payment methods are configured. But I already did it and I´m still not able to set Costa Rica as default Market.
I attach a screenshots.
Thanks in advance

Hi @LaPerlaBikinis,
Thank you for sharing those screenshots, it's a big help. Do you have shipping rates enabled for Costa Rica in one of your shipping zones? If not, please add some and then try again.
If you're still getting this error, my hunch is that having USD as the store's primary currency might be the reason the system is not allowing you to change the primary market from the USA to Costa Rica. I would recommend contacting our support team directly and authenticating yourself on the store, as they'll be able to take a closer look at the situation. If they determine that the issue is with the currency, they will also be able to unlock the currency selector on your store so you can change it.

Hi @LaPerlaBikinis,
Thank you for getting in touch. I'll be happy to help you with this and hopefully we can get this resolved. Can you tell me first of all if you're based in the United States or Costa Rica (or elsewhere)?
Can you also tell me if you want the primary currency on your store to be USD, or the local Costa Rican currency? Have you received any sales yet?
It would also be beneficial if you could share a screenshot of the error message you're receiving when trying to change your primary market, if possible. I'd also recommend checking our our documentation on managing markets to learn more about what your primary market is and what it determines.

Hi Victor, first of all, thanks for helping us.
Our store is based in Tamarindo (Costa Rica), our currency is USD (and it´s ok), and we have had our first sale the past weekend. And we have a few test sales.
I upload 2 images in this reply. The second one is translated to english with Google translate, so the exactly text may differ from the actual. We have actually set shipping costs and payment method for Costa Rica, that´s why I'dont understand why I can´t delete USA market to keep only (and default) Costa Rica one.
Kind regards!!!
Hi @LaPerlaBikinis,
Is it possible for you to embed the screenshots you have taken into a reply as images, rather than adding them to the post as a .rar file? We are advised not to download images directly from the Community but I will be able to view them if you embed them into a reply.
My initial thought is that you may not be able to change the primary market while the currency remains in USD, although this is something I can look into in more detail once I have viewed the screenshots.

Thanks, I´m sorry I was uploading a zipped file. So maybe I need to use change the currency to CRS and use a currency selector. Ok I´m not sure how to do that

Hi,
I am having the same problem, I d like to delete the US and keep Australia as the only and primary market.
What had worked for LaPerla didn't work for me so I tried to reach out to the Customer support for help, but your website just keep looping me back to the self help articles, I can't reach staff report.
Can you please help to direct me to a staff to talk to ?
