How to resolve app conflict between 'Translate & Adapt' and 'beeclever GDPR Legal Cookie'?

Hello guys,

 

I just noticed an app conflict between "Translate & Adapt" and "beeclever GDPR Legal Cookie".

In my testing I get this information:
When clicking on only necessary cookies and you try to change your language the site creates a pop-up, that says that the language of the user has been set to the original language. So the language change gets ignored.

When clicking on accept all cookies and you try to change the language, things work as expected, so you can change your language without any problems.

 

From that information, I derive that the "Translate & Adapt" App from Shopify probably tries to set some cookies for the language which gets blocked by the "beeclever GDPR Legal Cookie" app since they aren't declared as essential cookies, which they arguably are.

 

So my questions are:

How do I find the cookies that are needed for the operation of the "Translate & Adapt" Shopify app so that I can put them on the whitelist?

Is this a different problem, and there is a solution I haven't considered yet?

This is an accepted solution.

Translate and Adapt does not set any cookies. So I suspect it is something to do with the app.

Edit: The problem seems to be related to the "geolocation" app. The basic premise still applies, but since I don't necessarily need the geolocation, the issue could be resolved by just removing it.

I have the same issue. The solution is to add a new cookie to the Beeclever GDPR Legal Cookie app but I haven't found the cookie details to add.

I had the same issue. I did following to fix it: delete the two cookies localization and locale_bar_accepted from beeclever / Edit Consent and recreate it with "Essential".
Make notes or a screenshot of the old cookies before deleting it 🙂
