Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi, I'm looking to set up Shopify Markets on my online store to sell to the US. I am a Canadian store that currently only sells to Canada. If I set up a US market and a US bank account, will I be able to get the US sales payouts into my US bank account, while keeping the CAD sales payouts to my Canadian account? And can I do this without having to upgrade to a Shopify plus account plan?
Thanks,
Julie
Hi, @PomandChi!
Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and sharing your concern. I’m happy to help out.
I understand that you're currently looking to receive payouts in USD and CAD in your respective accounts. I can definitely understand how this would be ideal, but at this time, you will only be able to get paid out in the settlement currency of your Shopify Payments account. From my understanding, the only workaround to this would be to host your store on multiple sites to offer a local currency experience to buyers without incurring currency conversion fees.
In addition, I would like to note that I shared your feedback along with our development team for review. Hopefully, they can become future features! Keep an eye on the Shopify Changelog for updates on any new developments.
All the best!

This is also so important for me as a business and I see many others on the forum mentioning the same thing, would it be possible to please work on this? I haven’t done the switch to Markets due to this. We need our USD and CAD payouts so right now we have two stores but it’s costing us some loss in sales, lots of work and more. To switch to one store with markets though, we have this issue where we cannot get two payouts, and this causes a big issue so I’m not moving the stores to Markets because of this. Can you please help and put in this request to bring this feature? It’s a really important one, thank you.
Hi, @yarakamal!
I appreciate you joining the thread.
Thanks for sharing your feedback and I can definitely understand the urgency for this feature. I have shared these additional details with our developers. While I cannot guarantee the change will be applied, I will say the more requests we get for certain features the more likely they are to be rolled out.
Stay tuned!
