Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi all,
We have 3 separate domains to serve 3 different markets (UK, EU and US) with local currencies, shipping, etc. Customers can opt to be redirected to their local shop upon landing on any of the 3 websites. Two years in to this arrangement, our biggest downfall is loss of reporting. Not only is it very manual to cobble together the data sets from each website (e.g. to see MTD sales), but we lose a lot of information such as referrals. A customer may land on our website via a newsletter we have sent out, but if they are redirected to their local store during that process, the referral is no longer the newsletter, but the other store.
Does anyone else have multiple domains, and have they found a way to resolve such reporting issues?
Another query is if anybody is using Shopify Markets and would be happy to share their store on here so that I could see how it operates. I am extremely resistent to moving to Shopify Markets without seeing it in action first, before undoing the hard task of launching our 3 domains.
Many thanks for any feedback or advice.
Hi
Im pulling my hair out trying to work out selling in EU..
Tried markets on our uk store and it has many issues so ive been suggested open second store for just eu, got EU warehouse, EU vat number but cant use eu vat number basing new store in eu as i dont have a citizen number in said country...its an absolute nightmare, can enter old uk vat in new store with uk address yes but that defeats the object of billing in euros etc
