Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
There is a company-group which already has a shopify shop for the german market - which is run by the german located company.
Now they have more companies running the business in other countries such as Switzerland, Austria, etc.
They have one company per country.
My Question: is it possible to run ONE international shopify shop, but then have different companies (and corresponding terms&conditions etc.) for each country?
- The Swiss client will order from the Swiss company and must accept the Swiss Terms & Conditions.
- The Austrian client will order from the Austrian company and must accept the Austrian Terms & Conditions.
- The German client will order from the German company and must accept the German Terms & Conditions.
- and so on...
Would be great if anybody could give me a hint if this is possible and how/where to configure this.
Thanks!
Tobias
Hi Tobias, I am looking for a similar solution. Were you able to find anything?
We have multiple legal entities (and inventory pools) in EU, UK and US. We would ideally like to have one customer facing website that can direct the sales to the right legal entity and fulfil from the right inventory pool.
Could you please share if you have found a good solution?
Thanks!
Hey,
no, unfortunately not...
I was in contact with Shopify-Support for this topic. After that and some research, my impression was that it should be possible to cover all needed functionality.
But I never tested it, as we postponed this.
Thanks for taking time to reply. I will try to continue my research.
So how would you do it? Did you have the time to test it meanwhile?
So far we have not got a 'good' solution for this. We currently have two shopify sites and we have a non-eCom site for landing pages etc. and direct the purchases to Shopify from the landing pages. We can track everything alright, but still it is not an ideal user journey.
We did an intensive research and came to the conclusion that there seems to be no way to deal with this directly with shopify-features... Shopify-Plus seems to be able to cover these things, but it makes no sense for smaller shops as it costs starting from 2k USD / month.
By investing 30 minutes of your time, you can unlock the potential for increased sales,...
