Hi there - does Shopify have a recommended approach or best practice guide to deciding if supporting region/country expansion is best done by A. Opening a store front per country of B. Managing out of 1 main store front and translating / adapting price via apps?
There is not right or wrong way of doing this, and your decision should be informed by a number of factors. For example, where you are selling to and what products you sell will have a big influence on your decision.
If having different prices for different countries and regions is important to you, then you can either choose the Advanced plan on a single store or set up multiple stores for different target regions. The number of regions you're planning to sell to may dictate which option is the most cost-efficient for you.
Selling internationally through a single store will allow you to manage all of your customers, orders and products from a single admin, whereas having two or more stores will provide you with greater flexibility in terms of targetting your storefront to customers in different countries.
I hope this information has helped, but please do let me know if you have further questions. I'd also recommend checking out our Ultimate Guide to International Commerce for more advice on selling to different markets.
