Hello, I would like to prevent shipping of certain items to any country outside of the UK. At the moment I have all items in one shipping profile with multiple rates for each country but I want to prevent a certain collection being available for shipping to non-UK.

 

When I try to create a new shipping profile and only have the non-restricted items available, it removes these items from the UK shipping profile. 

 

I want all items to be available to ship to UK and only certain items to be shipped outside of the UK.

 

The other advise I have seen on here is to set up another shipping profile but this doesn't work because it removes the items from the UK profile.

Hi,

Create a separate shipping profile for the restricted items and set it to ship only within the UK. Keep all other items in the main profile with international shipping enabled. Ensure the restricted items are only in the new profile to avoid conflicts. This way, restricted items ship only to the UK, while others remain available globally.

Creating more than 1 Profile in Shipping and Deliveries will create a split cart - meaning each profile will trigger (when the products from that profile are in the cart) with a rate, blend together and display to the customer. This only works if the customer is in the UK. If the customer is outside of the UK and has items from both Profiles, it will error out at checkout and state "we can't ship to your address". 

 

You can also control your products from the Markets setting. You can exclude products from other regions and zones. When the excluded products are in the cart of the customer and attempt to enter shipping, a banner will appear stating certain products can't ship to their address, and to proceed, those items will be removed from the cart. This option lets your customer know if they proceed, it is only with the valid products and not just say "we don't ship to your address".
