Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi,
Our online shop sells packaged food products made in Greece that we import and sell in the US. We deal with prepackaged, dry, non perishables like olive oil, honey, jams, packaged cookies, etc. We've often thought about offering shipping to Canada, but we haven't yet explored our options. We've received questions from potential customers, so I started looking into the logistics. Apart from shipping and duties, do you know if there are any special regulations pertaining to prepackaged food products? Do we have to get any permits, or clearances from institutions like Dep. of Agriculture here in the US, or the equivalent in Canada? Any suggested leads?
Thanks!
Hello, did you ever get an answer on this questions? I have a similar situation with Italian products and would love to know if there are any particular restriction.
Thank!
