Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
When I girst opened my Shopify store, every optionw was selected to ship everywhere. Then someone told me just focus on one market due to terms and conditions abd legal ramifications. Wouldn't the supplier know these ramifications and not offer shipping there?
Can i just select multiple shipping markets without ramifications or legalities?
Why would Shopify allow there customers and store owners to hurt themselves by allowing us to just click all markets if it wasn't legally ok to ship everywhere? Anyone know?

If you dropship from China the worldwide shipping isnt a problem as mostly suppliers on Aliexpress or Alibaba could help you find local 3PL to help you ship based on the order countries. In addition, you can also find reliable Chinese 3PL to help you fulfill orders from China to worldwide countries. All you need to pay attention is the total cost and profit margin ratio for your business with the 3PL service.
If you are selling from EU or USA to worldwide countries, you can also find similar 3PL service to help you ship worlwide.
When setting up shipping options on Shopify, it's important to consider legal implications and supplier restrictions for each market. Suppliers may not always be aware of specific shipping regulations in every region. Shopify allows flexibility to cater to diverse customer bases but relies on store owners to ensure compliance.
Have you encountered specific challenges with shipping restrictions in certain markets?
No i just know some legalities with the United States. When i actually noticed all markets were checked off i changed everything to only the U.S. until i was sure Shopify regulated each market . I actually thought they wouldn't allow something to be sold using shopify if it was not allowed in a certain market.
For ex. A pop up would stop a customer from purchasing certain products thag aren't allowed in a specific region but allow for other regions where it is allowed to ship.
No problems yet just added Multiple Markets few weeks ago.
hi @Ziant Shopify gives you the freedom to choose any shipping zone, but that freedom comes with responsibility. While it offers a platform to sell, it can't handle the complexities of international shipping regulations for every country. Each location has unique rules on what can be shipped, customs procedures, and taxes. It's on the seller/shipper to research and comply with these legalities. Suppliers might not be aware of limitations in every market you target.
Shopify's flexibility allows you to start small, focusing on one market & slowly learn international shipping. As you plan to expand, thoroughly research regulations and restrictions in each new market. Consider consulting shipping professionals or carriers to ensure smooth sailing.
Understand exactly what you're saying and that makes sense. Except where you say consult every shipping supplier. Some suppliers say Cainaio shipping and then they ship ups, or local delivery where i don't even know what company delivered the package.
