Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hello,
I'm currently using W*glot to translate my website, using the subdomain method. However, to make W*glot compatible with Shopify Market, it's necessary to use the subdirectory method (e.g., your-shop-name.com/fr-fr) instead of subdomains.
However, W*glot informed me that when the main domain ends with .swiss, Shopify may not allow the use of Shopify Market in subdirectories. Is that true?
Additionally, when using the subdomain method, a wildcard SSL certificate is needed (which also protects subdomains). But when using the subdirectory method, is it still necessary to use a wildcard SSL certificate, or is a single SSL certificate sufficient?
Kind regards,
