Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Both Shopify and WooCommerce are powerful platforms for building and managing eCommerce websites.
But my question which program is lightweight?
Shopify is software as a service, it's hosted by Shopify. WooCommerce requires hosting and more knowledge of programming.
Basically, if you don't want to deal with hosting or development related stuff like plugin installations, updates, etc. Shopify is the better choice. Even if you are ok with arranging your own hosting and having a developer stand-by, most of the times Shopify is the better choice.
Shopify is lightweight due to its fully hosted nature, minimal setup effort and built-in optimizations.
Therefore choose shopify for ease.
Shopify is more streamlined and optimized out of the box, so while you have less technical control, it feels lighter for non-developers since Shopify handles performance, security, and updates for you.
