Variants Setting for International Shipping

I am a beginner on Shopify and I want to ask about the import setting on Oberlo for international shipping.

I found a supplier on Aliexpress and it has warehouses on multiple countries which is good because I want to target to sell internationally.

When I import from oberlo to shopify is it necessary that I have to include all variants of "ship from" countries? Or it actually doesn't matter? I don't know how it works.

Because I don't want to include all variants that are actually the same product with just the "ship from" different, I want to hide the "ship from" at the product page as it may be weird for customer to choose.

Say if I only pick the variant "ship from US" at my store, when a customer from Australia order this item, would I be able to process the order and ask the supplier to ship from their Australia warehouse? Or once I choose ship from US variant, then it can only be shipped from US from the supplier?

1. It sounds good, you are starting the Dropshipping Business. as per your Concern Oberlo doesn't import the product's shipping method into Shopify, so you need to use supplier shipping methods to set up Shopify shipping for customers to choose during their checkout. You can find the supplier shipping methods, cost, and estimated delivery time on Oberlo's Import List.

2. Products can have options such as Size, Color, Model, or Material. When you search for products you might notice a Ships From option. This option indicates the warehouse locations and where the product can be shipped from.

Shipping products from a warehouse in the same country as your customer can help reduce shipping times. Domestic delivery also provides an opportunity to ship the order with a method that is familiar to your customer such as USPS in the United States.
yes, Ship from option matters for the Dropshipping, and its different variants of Ship from 'different country' matters.

So say if I want to sell a product internationally, do I need to keep all variants with different "ship from" countries on oberlo when importing?

Or it's not necessary, I can just keep 1 variant of a specific country and I get to choose which warehouse to ship from after receiving order from a customer?

no,it's does not matter but you want to use all variant then you can show all methods of shipping.

yea, you can choose the warehouse of your Targeted customer's location, So you can easily ship their products.

@Zworthkey sorry just want to clarify, so you are saying even if I keep only 1 variant of country (like US) although the supplier has warehouses in different countries, when a customer from a country like Australia order it, my oberlo/aliexpress order will not automatically detect the order ships from US right? by then I still can choose which warehouse to ship from?
