Global expansion, localizing content, and selling in multiple currencies and languages
Hi there
I have set-up two locations (Australia and the US) servicing those respective zones in 'manage rates', and I have added the shipping fees for each zone. However when I try to checkout with a US address I keep getting the error; "Some items in your cart can’t be shipped to the address you entered. Review your address to ensure that all fields have been entered correctly and try again."
Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or need to turn on locations elsewhere!
Hi @cjurzenski,
This error message could be displaying for a number of reasons, so we'll want to check a few things to see if we can locate the issue.
First, you'll want to make sure you have added the state/ region within the USA you are using at checkout. When you add the USA to a shipping zone, you'll see that it's split into 62 "states":
These 62 states will include the 50 states of the United States, territories (e.g. Puerto Rico), and armed forces locations (e.g. Armed Forces Americas). You'll want to make sure you have all the states selected you wish to ship to, including the state containing the address you used at checkout.
Secondly, you'll also want to ensure that your locations have the "Fulfill online orders from this location" option checked. If you try and add a product to your cart that is only featured at locations that do not have online orders enabled, then an error will be returned at checkout.
You'll also want to make sure that you have eligible shipping options for the regions you've added to your shipping zones. If there is no eligible rate for the products in the customer's cart then they will not be able to select a shipping method at checkout. This may happen, for example, if you have shipping rates based on weight, but the customer's cart is too heavy or light for any of the shipping rates featured.
If once you've checked all of this the error still appears, I would recommend reaching out to our support team directly so you can be authenticated on the store and this issue investigated in more detail.
