Thanks for getting back. We sell motorcycle parts, we specialise in a small number of parts but cover a wide range of models and years, what we were ideally hoping to do was have one of our products, lets say 'Front Wheel Bearings' and had one listing that would say. 'Honda Front Wheel Bearings' and within that there would be two Variants 'Year' and 'Model' the problem is with the model one, because there are in the region of 2000 different models covering from 1960-present, we did think of breaking it down in to several product listings by cc size like Honda 0-250cc , 251cc-750cc, etc but we feel the navigation would get messy also even in the 0-250cc we would still exceed the maximum of 100 variants.
If you have any solutions i would be interested to hear them.
Hey Nik, You are not using variants the way they are intended is the issue. Variants typically use the same SKU and are similar in nature only varying in color, style, size etc. You need to re-evaluate how you are thinking about your products. I would probably use tags (heavily), product type, and vendor here to do the sorting.
