Expanding Internationally using markets?

Hi,

We are interested in inviting retail stores in other countries to join our online store by listing their products with us. Is this something that's supported? The goal is to expand our catalog using retail stores in other countries, while they expand their reach using our customer base and reach. Thanks

It's supported yes, you would just get the product information from them and list it on your site, or give whoever you want to be able to edit products access to your products. They you arrange payouts with the vendors (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) and generate reports for them.

If you ware wanting to isolate access, you could build a custom interface for them to log into, and only control their products. We actually built a similar system a few years ago, it worked like this:

- We built a custom website with log in credentials

- The admin (online store owner) would create the account for the vendors (artists, retail store contacts, etc) to be able to log into the website

- The vendors could log into and create and edit products

- The website was connect to the online store via a custom Shopify app, so when that vendor updated the product, it would update on the website

- The admin had control to limit number of products, verify updates before publishing, etc.

- Optionally generate reports for each vendor

It's a pretty big project to build a custom app like that, but if you have the funds or a good model to scale it could be worth it.
