Using Managed Markets to sell and fulfill internationally
hello, I have an issue with quantity by location in Market A / B
Market A = Italy > i have quantities stocked in one Italy location and this location has shipping methods available for Italy only
Market B = Germany > i have quantities stocked in one Germany location and this location has shipping methods available for Germany only
The SKU XYZ is stocked in both the locations, but with different quantities. Each Location should serve only ONE market and the issue I'm facing is that Location A has 2 units of SKU XYZ and Location B has 1 units of SKU XYZ.
If i'm in the market B and try to add 2 units (only 1 is stocked at location B that has shipping rates for Germany) I'm able to reach the checkout and only at checkout phase i got the automatic shopify pop up 'product will be removed as no shipping rates for this location are available'.
Important: this happens mainly with the 'quick add to cart button' because at product page level the 'add to cart' button has the usual sold out overlay button.
All this happen also 'viceversa' as the stock quantity for Location A Italy receive some inputs from the quantities stocked in Location B Germany.
Shopify support answered that Shopify doesn't differentiate quantities based on location but take into account quantities collectively. They also suggested some app but no one of the suggested has something that can fix this.
I found all this quite strange from a user experience pov considering all the features of Markets function.
I also checked with theme supports and confirmed this is a shopify related issue / limitation as the same happens with the Free Basic Templates from Shopify.
Anyone with similar experience / solutions? thanks in advance
