Product Customization - 2.0 Themes

Hi Everyone!

I'm losing my mind a bit over here attempting to figure out a product customization code.

I've read these two suggestions, and they work perfectly for getting the personalization field onto the product page, but I'm unable to see the personalization in the cart, checkout, and ultimately in the 'orders' section.

Has anyone cracked the code/will be able to?
