Pull Real-Time Stock from a custom inventory system using API

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask the question but I was wondering if someone could offer any advice?

We are currently on a Shopify Basic package and we want to pull real-time data from a custom ERP system we use. The company that developed this ERP system has given us API's that we can access however, we are not sure which Shopify package will allow us to do this.

We want to automatically get real-time data from the ERP. Example: If a customer buys stock, we process it on the ERP side and we want the stock value to update automatically so that if a customer is on the site, they will always have the correct, current value of the stock levels.
