Add Dropdown and Text Input fileds on checkout or cart

I want the additional fields on checkout like dropdown and extra information fields. How can I achieve these functionalities on checkout or cart? Do I need to buy a Shopify Plus plan? If so then how can I edit and customize after purchasing Plus plan?
I have attached competitors store checkout screenshot. can you please analyize it how can they achieved this?
I need expert's suggestions on these.
