Help with Empire Theme Variants

Hi Shopify support teams,

I just published the new EMPIRE theme that I purchased a week ago. I went from SUPPLY to EMPIRE. I thought I could go into dmin area and fix this problem, but I am not able to.

I sell a products that has MANY color variants and must be displayed together (no scrolling to see them all). But now I have 2 sets a thumbnail variants (see example page) and I only want to have one set of variant image "thumbnails" and I want that one to interact properly and choose the proper color in the "dropdown" (that is what I call variant thumbnail images on the right) How do I get rid of the gallery below - or make the gallery below choose the right color in the "dropdown"?

In my previous theme, SUPPLY I originally added a special javascripts to make thumbnail variants work with dropdown, but over time this no longer worked and I had to upgrade. People order the wrong items - when they clicked on a red yarn, the dropdown would not change but stay on a "default" color (I assume when page loaded). That is why I had to add color names to each graphic (huge amount of work).

Can you help please? Here is an example of a product page with the problem: https://inspireamind.com/collections/all-yarns/products/camarose-snefnug

Also two screenshots below.

One Solution is to get rid of duplicate thumbnails below the large product image since to variant on the right side communicate correctly with the color choices.

OR if I can make the variant gallery below choose the right color variant in "dropdown" (this is my preference solution), but at this point don't want duplicate variants

THANK YOU!

Hello Sus,

Both solutions are possible but not without the customization.

I suggest asking the theme support about it or ask a developer to add it to the theme you are using.

Thanks

Hi there - Thanks for your response. In my previous theme I was able to customize myself and updating the proper CSS and Java csript (it was a very old theme) but I will also reach you to theme support and find out how they can help provide a code snippet for customizing my theme.

I appreciate your time!

Sus

Check the email you received after purchasing the theme.
or follow Online store > Active theme  > Edit code > Config > settings_schema.json
Here in first 5-6 lines you find all about the theme.
