Thank you. I ended up using this tutorial and created and edited a robots.txt file. It was really easy!
FOUND A MUCH EASIER SOLUTION NO CODING NEEDED - download search and discovery app by shopify - under settings remove all boxes checked besides "products" so easy to select what you want showing up under my sites search - i only wanted products not pages. 🙂 this will hide all pages though.
I was so pleased to find this solution! It was driving me mad! Thanks @marissa28
Does this only work for the internal search in the website?
If i toggle off "pages", will it hide pages from google/bing search? I do not want google to index my pages, atleast most of them that is.
That's what I really want, as I don't want to mess with the robots.txt file.
